About Arielle H. Edelheit

Arielle is the office’s paralegal and office manager. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University in 2015, with a major in psychology and dual minors in criminal justice and law/public policy. Arielle is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor at New York Law School, where she sits on the Dean’s Leadership Council and the NYLS Faculty Appointments Committee, acts as a Senior Editor for the American Bar Association’s Family Law Quarterly, and is an Affiliate of the Wilf Impact Center for Public Interest Law. In addition to her work for The Law Offices of John A. Kornfeld, Arielle is the Matrimonial Project Coordinator for the New York Women’s Bar Association and previously acted as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Kathleen C. Waterman Marshall, Justice of the Supreme Court, New York County.

Arielle plans to practice matrimonial law when she graduates.  Previously, she worked in mental health, primarily as an art and recreation therapist, helping treat complicated and distressed populations including children and adults suffering from acute psychiatric illness, children with visual impairments and co-morbid special needs, and survivors of domestic abuse. Arielle’s clinical experience informs her approach to family and matrimonial law matters, as she is intimately familiar with both the complex systems litigants and practitioners must navigate, and the psychological undercurrents of family and matrimonial law.
